Model My Watershed Workshops Travel to California

Steve Kerlin in Yosemite National Park for a Model My Watershed educator workshop

Stroud Water Research Center’s Education Director, Dr. Steve Kerlin, traveled to California to train educators in the National Science Foundation Teaching Environmental Sustainability – Model My Watershed curriculum. Kerlin led workshops in Yosemite National Park and in Fresno, California.

During the 2015-2016 school year, about 75 teachers in California, Iowa, Kansas, Pennsylvania, and Virginia introduced their students to the Model My Watershed web app and related environmental science curriculum developed by the Stroud Center and project partners. The pilot program will be expanded to 100 teachers next school year.
