        CHEAPER CELLULAR OPTIONS!!

FYI – SL135 (Montgomery School) is in the shadow of the 2G cellular network and is experiencing severe lags in data transmission on the 2G network.  Last year we were transmitting around 11 MB of Data transmissions and under the unlimited plan we were paying $7.99/month.

Hologram recently introduced a new pricing plan and everyone should take a look to see if it would benefit their situation.  The new option (Hologram Maker Edition) is “pay as you go.”  The base fee is $0.60/card (up to 25 cards) and data is $0.40/MB.

We switched and last month we payed $1.20 for the 1.39MB of data that was transmitted from our sensor station.  Even if we were at full transmission capacity we would still be less than $7.99/month.

I am not sure how this may change when the new 4G cell solution comes out, but the savings is worth it.
